Be well and merry during this season of cheer because visions of toys fill the imagination of good little boys and sweet little girls as they wait for old Saint Nick to put their presents under the tree. There is another of Santa’s many little helpers who only few know well. Deep in the forests of the North lives the Raven Prince. He is Santa’s keeper of the naughty list, and when the Autumn’s bounty goes bare and the days grow short, the prince and his ravens travels to the North Pole where Father Christmas entrusts him with a golden scroll that holds the names of the children who are dangerously close to being on the naughty list.
The Raven Prince flies across the land with his trusted feathered friends and checks his list twice to make sure there are no loose ends. When he sees children who are helping with chores, he removes their names from that dreaded list and leaves a little bell somewhere near, to let the world know this house will have cheer.
For those rapscallions who cause a stir, the elf on his steed marks the chimneys a blur. Coal to be opened on Christmas morn while the good little boys and sweet little girls find presents aplenty for their hard work this year. So when the time comes, look towards the trees and when you hear wings fluttering of the midnight colored ravens, look out for the Raven Prince for he is near. Be kind to each other, and help when you can, for the Raven Prince knows when you lend out a hand.
